When roster and/or attendance hours or shifts are registered for a site, these are compared to the requirements of the contract for the site.
Staff scheduling per location
Personnel shift scheduling (rostering) is performed per location and can be done manually or automatically.
The simplest way to schedule shifts is to first allocate personnel and then use the ‘Automatic Scheduling’ feature. Once this is done, any exceptions to the shift patterns can be adjusted manually.
After scheduling for a period, management reports can be generated to ensure that the rosters are efficient and meet client requirements.
This empowers management to make informed decisions regarding roster optimisation, including posting the correct number of personnel of the correct grades or ranks at the correct sites, limiting overtime and non-productive time as much as possible, and ensuring an acceptable profit is made at each site.
Time and attendance per location
Actual attendance details are captured per location and can be done manually or automatically.
The easiest way to capture attendance is to use the ‘Automatic Attendance’ feature, which takes the roster for the specified shift as the actual attendance. Any exceptions can then be captured manually, making the process quick and easy.
Assuming attendance is captured promptly after posting, management can use reports to make necessary adjustments to ensure sites are adequately covered and wage costs are minimized.
Attendance can also be automatically registered through integration to one of the supported third-party time and attendance systems where personnel can check in and out of sites using biometric (finger or facial recognition), RFID, or proximity card technologies. EasyRoster seamlessly interfaces with existing reader technologies.
Once a person checks in or out, the message is relayed over a network. This enables an operational manager to ensure that scheduled personnel arrive and leave sites at the correct times. Additionally, the manager can easily identify over and under postings and take immediate action to rectify the situation. If replacement personnel are necessary, EasyRoster helps managers identify individuals who can be deployed without earning overtime and can be contacted quickly.

EasyRoster provides the facility to export attendance details to various payroll systems. This means that manual calculation of overtime and all other categories of hours is not necessary. Other than that, there will be no manual input of hours and/or shifts into the payroll system.
